Starting tomorrow, Food Truck Fridays is coming to the Asheville Outlets!  Come to 800 Brevard Road, just outside of the Field and Stream store to enjoy an awesome lunch or dinner from two of Asheville's finest food trucks:  Amazing Pizza Co. and Ron's Taco Shop.

This event will take place every Friday and as the weather gets warmer, the number of trucks will increase.  Come back every Friday to experience new, fantastic food and support local businesses.

Well, not really, but it's a great excuse to sample two of the best food trucks in Asheville!

You see - almost every weekend, Highland Brewing Company has a few food trucks that set up on Friday and Saturday nights to give their patrons some awesome chow to help soak up their stellar beer.  This weekend is no different, but the kind of food our host has chosen is rather interesting!  You see, this weekend, Asheville's premiere Cajun/Creole food trucks - Root Down and Vieux Carre - will compete for your stomachs!

I've had some awesome food from both trucks, and I can't wait to see what they will dazzle us with this weekend!

From Root Down, I've had such great treats as Duck Gumbo, Rabbit Étouffée, a Pork & Pimento Cheese Sandwich, and Sweet Potato Doubloons.  All were amazing!

From Vieux Carre, I've tried such goodies as Chicken Sauce Piquante, Jambalaya, Boudin Balls, and the Three Little Pigs Wrap.  All were fantastic!

So, bundle up and head out to Highland Brewing Company this weekend to take advantage of the amazeballs food of Vieux Carre and Root Down.  I'm calling it The Great Cajun/Creole Food Truck Showdown - you can call it a chance to try awesome food from two great Asheville food trucks.  Maybe we'll get lucky enough to have some Cold Mountain with this marvelous cuisine!

Let me know what you thought of them in the comments!

Want to know where to get your food truck fix?  I know, I know - with over 20 food trucks to choose from this weekend, its hard to know where to go for the best mobile food with the widest variety!  Have no fear; I'm going to point you in the right direction!

After a hard week of work, you should start off your weekend by checking out Food Truck Fridays at Reynolds Village.  There will be at least four awesome food trucks there with glorious beer from Thirsty Monk to wash it all down!  Root Down, Bom Bus, Appalachian Smoke BBQ, and Taste & See are all scheduled to be there to fill your bellies.

The weather is going to be perfect, so come out and support your local food trucks while sampling some of Asheville's finest.  I'll be there with some snazzy AshevilleFoodTrucks.com stickers.  If you ask me, I'll give you one!  (Hint:  I like Duff's beer)
