This last Saturday, a bunch of friends and I went to Highland Brewing Company's 20th Anniversary Party.  The rain did not keep away the crowds - unfortunately, it may have kept people away from the awesome food trucks that were located out by the meadow.  Avery's Hot Dogs, CiCi's Culinary Tour, Mama Dukes Wood Fired Oven, and Doc Brown's BBQ were fighting the good fight against hunger.

Since my stomach can only hold so much beer and food, I was only able to try two treats.  From Avery's, I had a chili, pimento cheese, and jalapeño relish hot dog.  It was AWESOME!  I love these guys!  With so many toppings to choose from, you will never get tired of these great dogs.

From Mama Dukes Wood Fired Oven, I devoured a sausage and roasted red pepper pizza.  I've had a LOT of pizza in my day, so you can trust me when I say; this is some of the best crust that I have ever had.  No - seriously!  The top three pizza crusts that I've tried are from Barley's, Mellow Mushroom, and Mama Dukes - I'm just not sure what order they are in.

There was also some great live music at the party.  For those of you that know me; you know that I am a child of the 80s (the greatest decade EVER), so I thought Love Canon was amazing!  If you've never heard of them; they are a bluegrass band from Charlottesville that play 80's hits.  If you missed them, they announced that they will be playing at the White Squirrel Festival in Brevard later in the summer.  You MUST check them out!  While you are at it, you can visit Oskar Blues and Brevard Brewing Company.
